“Oktoberferst: Celebrating our Lutheran German Heritage with Food, Fellowship and Fun”
“Whenever you are assailed by the Devil and tempted, gather together in the company of friends, enjoy good food, laughter and beer, make music and sing songs to God! The devil can’t stand merriment.”
On Saturday, September 30th our Fellowship Hall was transformed into a German Festhaus for Oktoberfest. We gathered with great German European cuisine – bratwurst, currywurst, red cabbage, pretzels, mustard and beverages, including root beer and beer.
We had great German music, we danced the Chicken Dance, took some silly pictures in the Photo- booth, connected with members and met new visitors and friends. We thank Kristin Andersen and Betty O’Lear, the whole Fellowship Team and all those who helped set up, decorate and cleanup. Thanks to Mike Turner, our Photo-booth Meister. And special thanks to Andrew Wagliardo, our CLC Brew-master who provided Patersbier and Marzen in honor and memory of Pr. Joe’s parents Joyce and John.
What a great way to celebrate our Faith and Life together on this 500th Anniversary of the Reformation! Enjoy the pictures to check out the Celebration! Ein Prosit!
