CLC Senior Breakfast

September 5 was the first Senior Breakfast of the 2017-2018 season.  We start at 8:30 am in the large dining room at Mimi’s Café at 21015 Dulles Town Circle, Sterling VA.

We have prayers, food and drink, conversations, the reading of the birthdays, other announcements and a speaker.

We were privileged to have as our speaker,  Herndon Police Department’s Lt. Michael Berg.  Michael is a life-long Lutheran and has been a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Herndon since 1988.  On the professional side, Lt. Berg has been with the Herndon Police Department after serving in the US Air Force.  He is currently a Lieutenant in the Department, serving as the Commander of Criminal Investigations, and the Department Public Information Officer.  Mr. Berg says this about his talk:  “I will be focusing on “Tips to Avoid Becoming the Victim of Fraud”, or at least that is my working title. I will be talking about ways to protect against:  Internet Fraud, Telephone Fraud, Construction Fraud, Identity Theft, and Credit Theft/Fraud.”

Also, after six years of steering the Connection breakfasts, the team of the Friedheims, Richardsons, Lehmans, and Newmans, has passed the baton to a new crew.  We want to thank and honor them for their service.

Finally, we end in prayer

If you know someone else who would like to come, please extend an invitation to them.
