“Welcoming others, growing in grace, sharing Christ’s love.”
A church embedded in the community that impacts people’s lives for the sake of the Gospel
Welcome; Community; Christian Formation; Outreach
I was not a practicing Christian during my young adulthood, but I couldn’t ignore the numerous little “peek-a-boos” of God’s love for me revealed in the whorls of an opening rose, the majesty of a “14-er” on the mountain range, the strong bonds of love in a new family. When we began to listen for God’s call for us, my wife and I became Lutheran. For me, Lutheranism is an affirmation (and correction) of what I had come to believe, namely that I could not bridge the gulf of lostness from God by my own effort.
We joined Community Lutheran in 2003 and saw then what we see now – lots of children and youth, lots of music, lots of opportunities to participate in the life of the church, lots of ways to help people, and lots of instant friends.
We are multigenerational and inter-generational in our activities and worship. We are ecumenical and inter-faith in our relationships with neighboring communities of worship – Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Jewish, Muslim, Bahai, and others, called as we are to be community together. All Christians may commune together at Community, and we partner with all faiths in helping those in need –the poor, the homeless, the sick, the hated. We are old and young, straight and LGBT, right wing and left wing and all the spaces in between.
Come visit us for worship, or for a concert or fellowship or a special need. Both you and Community will benefit greatly.
