Community Lutheran celebrated Pentecost, the birth of the church and our Unity in Christ with our brothers and sisters of Riverside Presbyterian Church on June 8, 2014
We gathered at Claude Moore Park in Sterling with beautiful weather and at least 250 people present. Many Community Lutheran members showed up in red shirts to celebrate Pentecost.
The service was a joint service of songs in Spanish and English. The readings for the day were spoken in 7 languages, Malagasy, French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Ewe, and English. For those of us not as fluent in all those languages the readings were printed in the bulletin in English.
After the service there was a feast of hot dogs, hamburgs, veggie burgers, and a wonderful variety of salads and desserts prepared by the congregation members.
