Tom, my daughter Tammy Krohn and kids and myself picked up Link Food Collections from Belmont Elementary and took to Trinity Presbyterian in Herndon, VA. We fill both vehicles to overflowing with food and when we got to the church in Herndon we were amazed at the food there. We helped sort what we picked up to get a feel for what they do there. One gentleman says he has been doing this for 15 years and we had enough food 15 years ago but that is no longer true and all the tables and tables and boxes upon boxes of food I saw will be gone quickly.
If you haven’t signed up for Link at least once I highly recommend it so you can see for yourself what a great service we do for our community with our Link donations on the 1st Sunday of the month. The link is posted below the information we received from Cora Sanzano.
Ever wonder how many people you are helping with First Sunday LINK Food Collections? Your recent donations have helped fill bags for:
October – 86 deliveries to 347 people
November – 82 deliveries to 360 people
Your donations allow LINK to keep providing emergency food assistance to those in need. Thank you!
