MEMORIALS

In times of loss and grief, we are here to provide spiritual support and guidance. We understand that the passing of a loved one is a difficult time, and are committed to helping you through this process with compassion and care.

Planning a Funeral Service

When a loved one has passed away, please contact the church office before making any plans with the Funeral Home/Director and family for a service date. Our Pastor and trained Stephen Ministers are available to support you during this time. They will help you plan a meaningful service that honors your loved one and provides comfort to those who mourn.

The Funeral Service

A funeral at Community Lutheran Church is a service of worship, a time to give thanks to God for the life of the departed, to commend them to God’s eternal care, and to seek comfort and strength in the promise of the resurrection. The service typically includes scripture readings, hymns, a homily, and prayers. We also offer the option to celebrate Holy Communion during the service.

Music

Music is a vital part of the funeral service, offering comfort and expressing emotions when words alone may not suffice. Our Director of Music Ministry is available to help you select appropriate hymns and music for the service. All music, both instrumental and vocal, must be approved by the Director of Music Ministry.

Funeral Planning Guide

We provide a Funeral Planning Guide to assist you in planning the service. This guide includes suggested scripture readings and hymns, as well as information on the order of service.
